Slow Cooker Turkey Chili

- 1 lb ground turkey
- 2 28 oz cans of diced tomatoes
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 2 14 oz cans black beans drained and rinsed
- 1 8 oz can diced green chilies
- 1 bell pepper chopped
- 1 white onion diced
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 lime
- 1 large sweet potato peeled and chopped
- 1 jalapeno or poblano pepper
- 2 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 1 tbsp salt & pepper
- 2 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- Greek yogurt
- avocado
- cilantro
Instructions
Heat avocado oil in a pan over medium heat. Add ground turkey and cook until it’s browned and just cooked through.Add to your slow cooker with diced tomatoes, tomato paste, drained and rinsed black beans, green chiles, bell pepper, white onion, garlic, juice from the lime, sweet potato and diced jalapeƱo or poblano pepper.
Season with chili powder, paprika, salt and pepper, cumin and a dash of cayenne pepper.
Cook on low for 7-8 hours or high for 3-4. Serve with Greek yogurt/sour cream, avocado, cilantro or honestly nothing - its that good!
